the morning burst in joy with the blooming marigolds and temple bells

Thank you Carolyn Hastings, Indubala Kachhawa and Suntonu Bhadra for the delightful celebration of The National Poetry Month at Paper Poetry. This is in response to Poemorama Part 2: The A — Z of Emotions: I have used the Prompt 14: J is for Joy.

The Marigolds are symbolic of a holy spiritual cleanse especially during morning aarti or pujas in India. Marigolds are often used in temple decorations and in festivities as garlands and offered during prayers. This poem is dedicated to the beauty and serenity of a morning ritual in India amidst the sound of brass bells which resonate with Om , the sacred phonetic symbol that represents the totality of existence.

A huge shoutout to my Medium family, thank you for reading and for your kind comments.
